Genting UK PLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Genting Singapore plc, part of the Genting Group, a leading, market cap, Malaysian multi national company.
Since entering the British casino market in 1976, Genting (formally Stanley Casinos Ltd) has pursued a policy of acquisition from both private casino operators and public companies. The Group has improved these sites through the introduction of better management and systems as well as extensive refurbishment, extensions and brand new properties. In some instances, casinos have even been relocated to larger premises, such as the Circus at Star City, which opened in November 2003, and is one of the largest in the UK. It has a 70,000 square foot capacity spread over several floors, state of the art facilities 20 slot machines, 44 automated games and 30 gaming tables.
Genting UK, which trades as Genting Casinos UK, has three key brands across the provincial estate; Circus, Maxims and Mint.
Circus is a mass market proposition with 11 locations; a busy and energetic leisure destination for everyone to have a fun night out. A number of Circus casinos include the 110 restaurant serving modern European food, and live entertainment.
Maxims is aimed at the aspirational end of the market and has 8 locations and an exclusive feel not present in many of the newer casinos. The brand aims to offer a sumptuous environment for an exclusive clientele to enjoy a sophisticated evening. First-class cuisine is available in the Equations restaurants offering a distinguished environment.
Mint is targeted more towards the "true gamers" and has 20 sites offering a friendly atmosphere with great customer service and leading edge gaming technologies.
Additionally Genting Casinos have several flagship properties in London which operate under their own titles. The most famous and historical of these is Crockfords, situated in Curzon Street, Mayfair. This is the world's oldest private gaming club. Maxims Casino Club is a prestigious and intimate club situated in the heart of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The Colony Club, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2006, is located on Hertford Street, just off Hyde Park Corner and opposite the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane.
Located next the five-star Mayfair Hotel on Berkeley Street with a separate entrance from the hotel, The Palm Beach Casino provides a vibrant international casino experience. The Mint Casino (which is branded in line with the company wide Mint branding) on Cromwell Road is nestled in the heart of fashionable South Kensington and located opposite London's Natural History Museum.
