Land Based Casino: Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to apply for membership for London casinos in advance?
The law changed in October 2005 so that casinos are now able to accept new members on the door. Of course it is still possible to save time on the night and apply for membership before hand. For the top end casinos however, prior application is required.
Do I need to show identification when I enter?
Yes. The law states that everyone entering a casino in Europe needs to show photographic ID. Your photo will also be taken in many casinos.
What are the age limits for entering casinos?
All casinos and their facilities have an 18 year minimum age limit.
How much does it cost to join casinos?
It entirely depends upon which casino. Many London casinos are also some of the most exclusive clubs in the world and membership is by strict selection and carry a considerable annual fee. Others are free to join. Refer to our Casino List by Rating for a better idea of which casino is for you.
I am a member at a casino. Can I bring a guest?
Most casinos allow you to bring guests (some allow up to 6). Please check with the individual casino before you plan your night out. Remember all guests will have to bring photo ID with them and must enter and leave at the same time as you.
Will there be a dress code?
Although standards vary from location to location, it is safe to assume that a smart level of dress should always be worn in casinos.
